Founder · Cultural Conservation Advocate
Founder, SEE Network & SEE Ground
Patsy Cheng co-founded Hong Kong's first sustainable development-themed magazine SEE (Social · Environment · Economy) in 2004 alongside like-minded friends. Over two decades, she has dedicated herself to community research, cultural conservation, and ecological exploration across Hong Kong and beyond.
Under SEE Network, she led nearly 100 community and social research projects and published more than 40 books and journals documenting Hong Kong's local culture, heritage, and grassroots stories. Every fieldwork visit became a deep encounter—turning research into relationships, and relationships into lasting records.
In 2026, Patsy founded SEE Ground to extend these encounters beyond paper: transforming local wisdom, cultural assets, and community stories into sustainable, shareable experiences—connecting travellers, researchers, and community makers across Hong Kong.
